immigration evaluations

Dr. Enney provides comprehensive psychological evaluations for the purposes of immigration cases (I601 and I601a Waivers, Asylum, and VAWA petitions at the current time). These evaluations assist immigration courts in making decisions about whether an individual shall be permitted to remain lawfully in the United States.  Psychological evaluations can improve the strength of the applicant’s case by demonstrating specific hardship that will occur were immigration petitions be denied.

Immigration evaluations typically consist of two interviews along with psychological testing.  During interviews, Dr. Enney will gather extensive information including:

Personal Background / Family Background
Educational History / Employment History / Relationship History
Medical & Mental Health History (including any current issues)

In addition, Dr. Enney will administer comprehensive psychological testing that assesses for specific mental health distress.  These highly validated psychological measures also allow Dr. Enney to assess for level of accuracy in reporting of symptoms to corroborate reported distress by the interviewee.  Applicable mental health diagnoses and treatment recommendations will be given to the interviewee.

All of the information that is gathered during the interview process will then be prepared into a comprehensive report that can be included as part of an immigration case.  Reports are typically ready within one (1) calendar month from the second interview, although such reports as available for an additional fee.
